Overwatch Contenders

Season Zero - Playoffs

After two weekends of intense competition, the sun has set on the Overwatch Contenders Season Zero Group Stage. The top two teams from each region’s four groups are now moving on to Season Zero’s playoff stage. The eight European teams can breathe a bit easy as they’ve already secured their spots in Overwatch Contenders Season One, coming later this year. For the eight North American teams, however, they’ll be fighting next weekend for six spots alongside Rogue and EnvyUs for their region’s Season One showdown. Here’s how each region’s groups played out:

For Europe, playoff teams are competing for their cut of the region’s $50,000 Season Zero prize pool. After the matches on Saturday, win or lose, they’ll immediately start planning for Season One’s round-robin play.

In North America, the prize pool takes a back seat to the race to finish in the top six on Sunday. While all eight teams will get a slice of the region’s $50,000 prize pool, teams that lose in the quarterfinals will play in an elimination match to keep their dreams of advancing to Season One alive.

With so much on the line, here are the official playoff brackets for this weekend:
